Amarbarì is a shadow art performance designed to envelop a small audience of “travellers”. It's a cosy, colorful installation in which adults and children alike are invited to discover different worlds, through the use of sounds, animated lights and shapes. The public is welcomed to enter an enchanted palace which is capable of traveling from place to place like a magic carpet. Its windows offer us spectacular views: the depths of the ocean, populated cities draped in warm hues and skies crossed by multicolored hot air balloons. “Amar bari” is the bengali term for “my home”. This home is open to anyone, it's mobility allows us to discover different environments and cultures. A “world-home” which affirms every earthly creature's right to freely explore and migrate. After the performance, the public will be invited to an interactive room, where one may freely experiment with shadow theatre techniques by moving various colorful silhouettes and creating fantastic new compositions.
